Flower Show 2014

We were told about the flower Show happening at the convention center during our recent visit to Philadelphia and visited it. This was first of its kind I ever attended and it was good. The best part is it is totally indoors. My first impression was relaxing and a feast to the eyes to look at all those blooms and colorful flowers especially after a dreadful winter.

There were a lot of people as it being the last weekend. There were lot of designer setups with pamplets available and this would be a great visit for people looking to redesign their garden/sitout place. Being not much appreciative of contemporary types, I am rather impressed by displays like the Moon Jar that had a 'soothing' look, and A display of Sun and Moon with zen stones, etc. The acrobat show at the main display/stage was interesting accompanied by light/music show.

The designer studio has popular designers competing against one another making a flower decor piece. That area was crowded and no wonder we had to stand through the entire show as all the seats were taken. The 'shout out loud' confetti piece displayed in that area was attractive.

I felt that there could be more of flowers involved in some of the arrangements. Apart from the amazing huge main displays, I felt there were less of floral and more of other decorative add ons on the rest of the ones.

There were a lot of vendor shops at the entrance of the big hall. Fresh flowers, a dozen roses for $5.99, plants, pots, wooden flowers, Dried flowers, t-shirts, gardening decor, tulip pods, everything you will need for the upcoming spring with great varieties and choices! There were also some food vendor stalls spread around the hall selling soda, lemonades, snacks like pretzels, bananas etc.A great way to spend a day with family!
